I decided to embark on this law enforcement journey in 2013 while maintaining a desire to be of service to people. Currently serving the New York City Department of Correction on the rank of Captain, I learned how imperative it is to encourage, support and professionally resolve conflict. My first year serving as the 2nd Vice President to Women of Correction felt like a purposeful one. Women play a major key component to this agency, and we wear many hats. There is space for all of us to succeed and have this support system while we’re navigating the journey. We’re all valuable jewels and I hope to encourage more women while lend a helping heart.
